Nubia V18 with 6-inch full-screen display, 5000mAh battery to be announced on March 22

ZTE's nubia brand has scheduled an event on March 22nd to introduced V19 smartphone in the new 'V series' in China. The company has confirmed in the invite that it will come with a 6-inch full-screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio in the size of the 5.5-inch phone. It also said that the phone will cost about 1000 yuan (US$ 158 / Rs. 10,265 approx.). The company showcased the phone at the MWC last month that also says it will come with a long battery life, which is expected to be 5000mAh, similar to the N3 that went official recently. Nubia already confirmed that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC and a whole lot of RAM for the best gaming experience. However the company did not share the complete specifications of the phone at that time. Another image from MWC confirms single rear camera on the back, fingerprint sensor and a metal body. Vivo V9 detailed specifications, press shots surface ahead of India launch on March 23

Vivo V9, the company's upcoming smartphone was expected to launch in India on March 27th, now the company has confirmed that the phone will launch in India on  March 23rd. Detailed specifications and the features of the phone has been listed of official Vivo India site ahead of launch. This confirms 6.3-inch FHD+ 19:9 display, 16MP + 5MP dual rear cameras, 24MP front camera with A.I face beauty, AR Stickers, dedicated dual SIM slots, Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Funtouch OS 4.0. Even though earlier rumor said that the phone will come with Snapdragon 660, the listing confirms Snapdragon 626 for the phone. Navi Mumbai has fastest 4G speeds in India: OpenSignal

According to OpenSignal's latest speed test report, Navi Mumbai is the fastest 4G city in India and it stole the top spot from Mumbai. Navi Mumbai registered an average 4G speed of 8.72 Mbps in OpenSignal’s latest data. Chennai has secured the second place with nearly 8.52 Mbps speed which is double the 4G speeds compared to 4.4 Mbps from March 2017. Allahabad is the only city to register less than 4 Mbps with average speeds of just 3.5 Mbps. Interestingly, six out of the top ten cities are in the southern or western regions. After Chennai, it is Kolkata with 8.46 Mbps and Bangalore follows it with 7.17 Mbps speeds. OpenSignal for this chart has calculated speeds among 20 of India’s largest cities, but it is by no means a comprehensive list of every city in India. Meaning that despite Allahabad getting the last place, it by no means it is the slowest 4G city in India. Micromax Bharat 5 Pro with 5000mAh battery, face-unlock launched for Rs. 7999

After launching Bharat 5 and 5 Plus, Micromax today launched the Bharat 5 Pro that comes with Face Unlock and a similar 5000mAh battery. The latest budget segment device from Micromax in the Bharat series, sports a 5.2-inches HD display and has 3GB of RAM. The Bharat 5 Pro runs on Android Nougat and has a 13-megapixel rear and 5MP front camera. Since it comes with a massive 5000mAh battery,  you can use it as power bank as well by connecting the other phone via USB OTG. Infinix Hot S3 gets Face Unlock via OTA update in India

Infinix launched the Hot S3 smartphone with a 20-megapixel front camera with dual LED flash, 5.65-inch HD+ 18:9 display and Android 8.0 Oreo with XOS Hummingbird V3.0 last month. As it had announced recently, the company has started rolling out Face unlock feature for the smartphone via over-the-air (OTA) update.  The update also brings Android security patch for March 1, 2018, update to Google GMS Package, battery life improvements, camera effect optimization and system stability as well as performance improvements. Google Assistant Routines initial roll out begins

Google at the Pixel event back in October last year had announced Assistant Routines, and they are finally rolling out replacing 'My Day.' This feature is meant to allow a single phrase to initiate multiple commands and the feature is now live on the Google Assistant's / Google Home app's settings. You can find these controls with Home control, Music, and Shortcuts. The functionality lets you take your device off the silent mode and adjust smart home appliances, like the temperature on a thermostat and more. There are six routines; Good Morning, Bedtime, Leaving home, I'm home, Commuting to work, and Commuting home. Obviously, the last two routines are only accessible from your phone. The Good Morning routine will replace the previous 'My Day' feature. These routines will be voice-dependent, so you and the other people in your home will be able to trigger your own actions for each one. After running through Routine commands, users can start using Assistant normally again. To further customize, users can start changing and adding multiple phrases to trigger one Routine. Xiaomi just launched the Redmi 5 smartphone in India, as expected. It was introduced back in December last year and packs  a 5.7-inch HD+ 18:9 full-screen display and is powered by Snapdragon 450 with up to 3GB RAM. Last week a report said that the Vivo V9, successor of Vivo V7 will launch in India later this month. Now Vivo India has started teasing the smartphone. But the Vivo Indonesia has posted a one-minute teaser video highlighting the specifications and features of the smartphone including a FHD+ FullView Display, 24-megapixel front camera, dual rear cameras and face unlock. Essential today announced that it is rolling out the Android 8.1 Oreo update to its Essential PH-1. Back in January, the company announced that it will skip the 8.0 update for 8.1 and just as it promised it is now rolling to users. The update brings increased performance, better battery life, stronger security, and more, and Oreo features.  The Oreo 8.1 update brings picture-in-picture mode, so now you can watch videos while using Maps navigation.
