Vivo smartphone with bezel-less display, under-glass fingerprint sensor surfaces

Last month Vivo launched the X20 Plus UD with in-display fingerprint sensor in China. Even though this had a Full HD+ 18: 9 Super AMOLED display, it had bezels around the screen. Now an image of a new smartphone with almost bezel-less screen, similar to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. It is not clear if this is the upcoming X30 since this doesn't have a top-notch with earpiece and the front camera. Some rumors say that this will have over 95% screen-to-body ratio. It could use Cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic system instead of a standard earpiece and ultrasonic proximity sensor, similar to the Mi Mix, but lack of front camera make us think if these images are real. The Vivo X20 UD that was introduced recently uses Clear ID FS9500 optical fingerprint sensor from Synaptics. The company already said that the In-Display Fingerprint Scanning Technology outperforms other authentication solutions available for full-screen smartphones in many aspects. We should know more details about this mysterious bezel-less Vivo smartphone in the coming weeks. Source 1, 2

Android Messages has received a new update with version number V2.9. The update doesn't bring any major U.I change but there quite a few additions that hint at upcoming features including  Allo-like web interface, payments to businesses and more. Google is getting ready to introduce a web interface that would allow users to pair their phones with a computer for texting needs. It also hints that the company might also be planning to offer its enhanced chat features to work with RCS messaging. Finally, there may be the possibility of buying things from companies right from within Android Messages. A teardown of the APK further revealed more insights about whats coming. The Allo-like web interface is being codenamed "Ditto," but might be labeled "Messages for web" when it launches. Just like WhatsApp, you will need to visit a website and a follow a simple procedure to pair your phone to receive messages directly from the PC. Since the strings of code mention all the available browsers, it should have compatibility with most browsers. On the other hand, Google is speeding up RCS, encouraging people to "text over Wi-Fi" and suggesting that they "upgrade" immediately. It is interesting to see Google offering some functionality rather than dumping it ...
