Xbox One X 4K HDR gaming console launched in India for Rs. 44990
Microsoft today launched Xbox One X, its latest and its most powerful gaming console in India. It was introduced back in June at the E3 2017 conference and has 4K HDR gaming and streaming capabilities, built-in 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X offering 3D spatial sound. "With 6 Teraflops, 326GB/s of Memory Bandwidth and advanced, custom silicon, the Scorpio Engine is the world’s most powerful console gaming processor," said Microsoft at the launch. More than 80 new and existing games are enhanced for Xbox One X to take advantage of its full power, including Forza Motorsport 7, Super Lucky’s Tale, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Halo Wars 2, Gears of War 4, Halo 5: Guardians, Minecraft, FIFA 18, Final Fantasy XV, Star Wars Battlefront II and PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS. All existing Xbox One games, including Xbox Play Anywhere titles, Backward Compatible Xbox 360 games and accessories, will be compatible with Xbox One X. Gboard Go now rolling out to Android 8.1 phones with low RAM
Google back at the Google for India event in 2017 announced the Android Oreo (Go Edition) for entry-level Android devices along with a suite of optimized apps including Google Go, Google Assistant Go, YouTube Go, Google Maps Go, Gmail Go, Gboard, Google Play, Chrome, and the new Files Go app. While the Maps Go, YouTube Go were recently rolled out, it is Gboard Go that is rolling out now. The Go edition apps are optimised to work smoothly on low-cost Android phones with 1GB RAM or less. The apps are available for Android phones running 8.1 Oreo. The Gboard Go doesn't have a Play Store listing of its own, but the app can be side-loaded. Features of Gboard Go app include themes, gesture typing, and integrated search and it installs on top of the standard app. However, GIF search, stickers, and One-handed mode are a no-show. The Go edition keyboard is about 40MB, while the original is 70MB. According to the uploader of the APK, the update with v6.9.4 is showing up for devices with a low RAM. Microsoft introduces Windows 10 educations laptops starting at $189
Microsoft today in association with Lenovo and JP unveiled low-cost windows 10 and Windows 10 S education laptops from Lenovo and JP, starting at just $189 (Rs. 12,050 approx.). The company is also said to bring new capabilities to Office 365 for Education software, and STEM learning fun with a new Chemistry update to Minecraft. The company apart from introducing the laptops also partnered with BBC Worldwide Learning, LEGO Education, PBS, NASA, and Pearson for new mixed reality and video curricula for education. The new office 365 tools will enable students to write a paper using only their voice and make it easier to access Teams via mobile devices. The new laptops from Lenovo include Lenovo 100e, Lenovo 300e 2-in-1 convertible PC, and two new devices from JP which include Classmate Leap T303 laptop with Windows hello support, and Trigono V401 2-in-1 with pen and touch. Xiaomi introduces smart delivery option on Mi online store for flexible pick-ups
Xiaomi today introduced a new smart delivery option, powered by Smartbox, on its Mi online store as well as its Mi Store app that allows users to pick Smartbox as a delivery option, and get their online purchase delivered to a digital locker near their location. Blue Dart, FedEx , Delhivery, Xpress Bees & Ecom Express are the partners for delivery. The locker can be accessed with a unique OTP and users can pick up their purchase anytime as per their convenience within 72 hours. Order will be returned if not collected within 72 hours. If you have selected COD for the shipments, you can pay using Debit/Credit Card, Paytm or UPI since the Smartbox terminals support multiple payment options. Android 8.1 Oreo gets speed labels for open WiFi networks
Google today has introduced a nifty little feature on Android 8.1 Oreo that will show speed labels of open WiFi networks before you connect to them. Typically, Android system settings show the strength of the WiFi network, but speed is something that is new. Google has categorized the WiFi speed networks that will only work on open networks. The categories include Slow with speed ranging from 0-1 Mbps, OK which falls between 1 Mbps - 5 Mbps speeds, 5 Mbps - 20 Mbps speeds are termed as Fast, and finally very fast with networks that have more than 20Mbps+ speed. [HTML1] With Slow labeled networks, you can basically just make voice calls, and send text messages, with OK you can read web pages, browse social media, and stream music. The fast labeled WiFi networks can stream most videos and very fast are capable of streaming very high-quality videos. Ahead of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ launch, Samsung has unveiled its new ISOCELL camera sensor that comes with technologies like Tetracell and Smart WDR. The new camera sensor technologies will enable capabilities like variable capturing and slow-mo video recording. The ISOCELL Bright Tetracell technology significantly improves light sensitivity in low-light conditions by merging four neighboring pixels into one big pixel. This technology was initially announced back in October. The WDR technology allows you to capture multiple exposures in a single shot, resulting in brighter images even in dark situations. This basically should enhance shots clicked through the front camera. Nokia smartphone with Penta-Lens camera module design surfaces
There were rumors about an unknown Nokia phone for quite some time which is said to come with 5-camera lens on the back. Now a design sketch of the same has surfaced showing how the camera arrangement on the rear might look like. This is just a prototype design, and Foxconn is said to be currently working on a way to design and manufacture the phone. From the design sketch revealed by the forum member, and an alleged Foxconn employee, we can see 5 lenses arranged in 1-1-3 formation, one LED flash, an unknown sensor on a circular ring. The fingerprint sensor is also placed on the rear down below the camera module. This design sketch might hint at why HMD global is adopting the rotating Zoom camera tech from Zeiss. The flagship is currently under development and we expect to see the phone in the second quarter of 2018. OnePlus opens its first Authorized Store in India in Mumbai
OnePlus opened its first Experience Store in India in Bengaluru last January, later it opened one in Noida. It also partnered with Croma to provide easy access to OnePlus products. On January 20th the company opened its first OnePlus Authorised Store in Mumbai located at Prime Mall in Vile Parle-West. It started selling the OnePlus 5T Lava Red edition on the same day and also offered a free Bullet V2 earphone on the purchase of any OnePlus smartphone. OnePlus said that the store is part of the company's focus on creating more offline touch points across key cities to allow users to experience the smartphones before buying. "The new OnePlus Authorized Store in Mumbai is the next step in the evolution of OnePlus’ community offerings to help provide the best possible in-store experience to the OnePlus community," said the company.
