Nokia smartphone with Penta-Lens camera module design surfaces
There were rumors about an unknown Nokia phone for quite some time which is said to come with 5-camera lens on the back. Now a design sketch of the same has surfaced showing how the camera arrangement on the rear might look like. This is just a prototype design, and Foxconn is said to be currently working on a way to design and manufacture the phone. From the design sketch revealed by the forum member, and an alleged Foxconn employee, we can see 5 lenses arranged in 1-1-3 formation, one LED flash, an unknown sensor on a circular ring. The fingerprint sensor is also placed on the rear down below the camera module. This design sketch might hint at why HMD global is adopting the rotating Zoom camera tech from Zeiss. The flagship is currently under development and we expect to see the phone in the second quarter of 2018. OnePlus opens its first Authorized Store in India in Mumbai
OnePlus opened its first Experience Store in India in Bengaluru last January, later it opened one in Noida. It also partnered with Croma to provide easy access to OnePlus products. On January 20th the company opened its first OnePlus Authorised Store in Mumbai located at Prime Mall in Vile Parle-West. It started selling the OnePlus 5T Lava Red edition on the same day and also offered a free Bullet V2 earphone on the purchase of any OnePlus smartphone. OnePlus said that the store is part of the company's focus on creating more offline touch points across key cities to allow users to experience the smartphones before buying. "The new OnePlus Authorized Store in Mumbai is the next step in the evolution of OnePlus’ community offerings to help provide the best possible in-store experience to the OnePlus community," said the company. Commenting on the launch, Vikas Agarwal, General Manager, OnePlus India, said: Customer satisfaction has always been at the core of OnePlus’ strategy. Samsung SM-J720F with 4GB RAM, Android 8.0 surfaces in benchmarks, could be Galaxy J8 (2018)
Samsung SM-J720F, a new smartphone has surfaced in GFXBench and Geekbench benchmarks. This reveals most specifications of the phone including a 5.5-inch HD screen, Octa-Core Exynos 7885 14nm SoC with , Android 8.0 (Oreo) and more. This could be Galaxy J8 (2018), successor of last year's Galaxy J7 (2017). It is expected to feature a metal unibody design with a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, similar to the predecessor. Even though the GFXBench listing reveals that it will come with a 5.5-inch HD screen, there are chances it might come with a 1080p screen since this might be some prototype. Vivo X20 Plus in-display fingerprint sensor version to be announced on January 24
Vivo at the CES 2018 earlier this month showcased the world’s first in-display fingerprint scanning smartphone that uses Clear ID FS9500 optical fingerprint sensor from Synaptics. Later the Vivo X20 Plus UD with in-display fingerprint sensor got certified by TENAA in China. Now the company has confirmed that the smartphone will be unveiled on January 24th. It is calling it Vivo X20 Plus in-screen fingerprint edition. The smartphone shares similar specifications as the original X20 Plus, but this is slightly slimmer at 7.35mm, however it is few grams heavier at 183.1 grams compared to the X20 Plus. In-display fingerprint scanner lets users unlock their smartphone through one-touch fingerprint scanning directly on the smartphone display. At the announcement Vivo said that its In-Display Fingerprint Scanning Technology outperforms other authentication solutions available for full-screen smartphones in many aspects. Ixigo trains app for iOS gets AR feature to view your coach position, station alarm and more
Ixigo trains app for iOS has been updated with AR-based features that will let iPhone users locate their coach position on railway platforms accurately. AR coach position feature will allow the passengers locate their coach positions at more than 7,000 railway stations across India. Users of iPhone 6+ and above are capable of using their Apple smartphones to categorize coaches and label them to detect how far they are from their intended coach accurately. The ixigo’s AR features leverage on the Apple's ARKit. Users will have to grant camera permission to Ixigo to use the AR features. Once you grant permissions, you will have to point it at the railway platform, and the app will overlay coach positions of their train on the phone screen. Apart from this, ixigo is rolling out other critical features like the station Alarm and Rescheduled trains.
