HMD Global today announced Nokia 6 (2018), the company’s latest mid-range smartphone and the successor of last year's Nokia 6, smartphone in China, as expected. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by Snapdragon 630 Mobile platform, runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat), which is upgradable to Android 8.0 (Oreo), has a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It has Dual-Sight technology that uses both front and rear cameras simultaneously directly from your camera app to create Bothie – a split screen visual for both photos and videos. It has a unibody design with 6000 series aluminium chassis created using two-color anodization process and diamond cutting technology. OnePlus 5T Sandstone White edition listed online ahead of January 5 announcement

OnePlus introduced its flagship OnePlus 5T smartphone in Midnight Black variant, later it introduced the Lava Red edition of the smartphone in China, which was followed by the Star Wars Limited Edition in White finish that was launched in India last month. OnePlus started teasing a new Sandstone version of the OnePlus 5T smartphone recently, now the the Sandstone White version of the phone has been listed in jd.com and the bookings will begin at 10AM China time. Android malware targets 232 Android apps including Indian banking apps

Quick Heal Security Labs has detected an Android banking trojan; Android.banker.A9480 which is said to be targeting more than 232 banking apps which also includes the apps offered by Indian banks. Like other banking trojans, even the Android.banker.A9480 is designed with the aim to steal login credentials, hijacking SMSs, etc. The trojan is being distributed through a fake Flash Player app on the third-party store, and it is not very surprising considering Adobe's flash player is one of the most widely spread products on the Internet. Once the malicious app is installed the phone, it requests for Administrative rights and if even if a user rejects or terminates the process, it keeps throwing pop-ups until the user activates the admin privilege. The app then goes into hiding once the user taps on it.Once the icon is hidden, it looks for all the installed apps especially from the 232 apps that include banking and some cryptocurrency apps. If the trojan finds any one of the apps from the list of 232 apps, it throws fake notifications duping targeted banking app. if a user clicks on the notification, they are shown a fake login screen to steal the user’s confidential login details. Samsung has launched Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (SM-T285), a new tablet in India with 4G support and voice calling capability. It was originally introduced as Galaxy Tab A 2016 a couple of years back, has a 7-inch WXGA screen, is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The Tab A 2016 was introduced with Android 5.1, but the Android version in this tablet is not known yet. Meizu today announced that it will introduced Meizu S6, a new mid-range smartphone in the new 'S series' in China on January 17th. The company already confirmed that it will feature an 18:9 display.
